THE FEEL BEAUTIFUL MOVEMENT
The Feel Beautiful Movement is a registered 501c3 nonprofit organization. All donations are tax deductible.
The idea for The Feel Beautiful Movement started with Talia Joy Castellano, a fourteen year old YouTuber who was diagnosed with cancer. Ayla and Ana watched her videos and found her joy and positive attitude inspiring. Makeup helped Talia to feel better about herself throughout her cancer treatment. Ayla and Ana wanted to bring that joy to other girls diagnosed with cancer. In the fifth grade, Ayla and Ana came up with the idea to create gift bags of beauty products for teen and pre-teen cancer patients, an age group that is often overlooked. They also raise money and gift cards for all patients, boys and girls.
With the help of Sephora, and several contacts at The Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital (LPCH) in Palo Alto, California, Ayla and Ana made their first donation in 2014, naming their organization “The Feel Beautiful Movement." The response from patients and hospital staff has been overwhelmingly positive and interest in these bags has continued to grow. Ayla and Ana are working to grow their organization, to expand to other hospitals, and to continue to help bring joy to children with serious illnesses.
